Management of St. Joshep Dental College, West Godavari organised plantation campaign on 6-June-2016. This campaign was organised as part of the World Environment Day celebrations. On this amazing occasion, Coordinator of the college, Rev. Fr. Gabriel distributed saplings to the students, he also addressed the media and explained the importance of the occasion.
He said, “The College has a lush green campus and this plantation campaign is being organized to make the campus greener. The pollution has been depleting the environment day by day. Inorder to control the pollution plantation activities must be taken up extensively by the citizens of India. We need to protect the gift of the nature. The college organizes plantation campaign every year”.
On this occasion, the hostel students of the college took up the plantation campaign and planted more than 100 saplings in the hostel premises. Later, they planted around 400 saplings in the college premises. All the students participated actively in the campaign and did their part in protecting our beloved environment.
Most of the students opined that ‘Plantation means not only planting trees but also watering the trees regularly. It is the prior responsibility of the citizens of India to protect the environment from the clutches of pollution”.
