Manikyalarao, Endowments Minister of Andhra Pradesh, assured that the government would take necessary steps for the construction of a permanent campus for National Institute of Technology, Tadepalligudem. He also assured that the government would recruit permanent staff members for NIT Tadepalligudem.
Some of the students who are pursuing their second year in NIT Tadepalligudem met Manikyalarao at his residence on January 10, 2017, to discuss the problems they have been facing. They claimed that the faculty from NIT Warangal are not visiting regularly to take classes. Therefore, the students pleaded to appoint permanent faculty for the institute.
After hearing the grievances made by the students, Manikyalarao assured that he would take up the issue with HRD minister Javadekar soon. He also directed Dr. GRD Reddy, Director of NIT Tadepalligudem to take steps to hold classes at the institute and hold consultations with NIT Warangal to make the faculty attend the classes at NIT Tadepalligudem.
Students also expressed their concern about the construction of a permanent building, and the minister assured that NIT Tadepalligudem would get permanent campus by October 2017. Apart from permanent campus, first and second will have hostel buildings.

He exhorted that he had already discussed the issue of staff recruitment and appointment of Director with HRD minister. He revealed that HRD ministry would soon issue a notification for the appointment of Director. Now, he would take up the issue of a permanent building with the HRD Minister.
He also expressed his concern that the faculty of NIT Warangal should not skip the classes at NIT Tadepalligudem. He assured that probable steps would be taken in this regard as early as possible.
