Madhavi, final year B.Tech student of Malineni Lakshmaiah Women’s Engineering College has been awarded the title ‘Vidyamani’ (Diamond of the college). On this occasion, the college management conducted a press meet on 13-May-2016 to award the student with cash prize and title. The press meet was attended by the college director, P. Nageswara Rao, Principal, Dr. D Chandrashekar and placement officer, Hema Chowdary. Madhavi belongs to the CSE department of college. She has been awarded with the title ‘Vidyamani’ for her overall performance in 4 years.
College principal said, “Madhavi has brought a lot of laurels to college by participating in various competitions. She won prizes in paper presentations, poster presentation, group discussions, quiz competitions and many more. She attended 6 campus placements conducted by various companies and got selected in all the campus placements. She scored excellent marks in all the semesters and stood as the topper of the department. She has also done excellent job in project work. She has given overall performance and qualified for the title”.
College Director awarded Madhavi a cash prize and a memento with the tile inscribed on it. The faculty members congratulated Madhavi for her overall performace.
Madhavi said that, “The college management and faculty have been very supportive. The CSE department has always encouraged me to take part in various competitions. It is because of the motivation and encouragement given by college management, faculty and my parents I have achieved this title”.
