Students of Andhra Pradesh secured excellent results in AP EDCET–2016. This exam is conducted for admission into various B.Ed colleges in Andhra Pradesh. Results of the exam were released last week by Vice Chancellor of Sri Venkateswara University, Acharya Damodaram.
This year, a total number of 9,561 students gave the examination out of which 9,194 students have qualified in the examination. This year boys outshine girls in the exam. An overall 96.36% of boys have qualified in the exam whereas 96.06% of girls qualified in the exam. Counselling will commence in the second week of July and the classes will commence from August.

- K. Kameswara Rao of Physical Sciences scored 90/100 marks and stood as State 1 st
- M. Siva Kumar of Hyderabad scored 87/100 marks and secured state level 2 nd Rank.
- S. Gopal of Vizag scored 85/100 marks and secured state level 3 rd Rank.
Top-3 Rankers of English:-
- G. Deepthi of Vizag secured 98/100 marks and secured state level 1 st Rank.
- Bala Chandran scored 91/100 marks and stood in second place.
- Anju Francis of Kerala scored 87/100 marks.
Top-3 Rankers of Social Studies:-
- MK Charan raj of Kurnool secured 97/100 marks and secured state level 1 st Rank.
- Bala Venkatesh of Ananthapur scored 94/100 marks and stood in second place.
- G.Ramesh Babu of Ananthapur scored 93/100 marks and stood in third place.
Top-3 Rankers of Mathematics:-
- Srinivasas Rao of Srikakulam secured 100/100 marks.
- G. Sravani of Vizag secured 89/100 marks.
- P. Venkat Shivaji of Guntur secured 86/100 marks

- K Satya Pavani of Vizag scored 95/100 marks.
- G. Yamuna Sri of Vizag scored 87/100 marks.
