Students of Guntur Shine in AP EDCET–2016

Students of Guntur secured excellent ranks in AP EDCET – 2016. The results were released last week. AP EDCET is an entrance exam conducted by Sri Venkateswara University for admission into various B.Ed colleges of Andhra Pradesh.

A total number of 789 students appeared for the examination in Guntur District out of which 773 students qualified the exam and recorded an overall pass percentage of 97.97.

Toppers of Guntur District:-

• P. Venkata Shivaji secured state level 3 ^rd Rank in Mathematics.
• CH. Jaya Laksmi secured state level 9 ^th Rank in Mathematics
• Y Srinivasa Rao secured state level 6 ^th Rank in Social Studies.
• R. mohan Rao secured state level 9 ^th Rank in Social Studies.
• G. Ramya Sri secured state level 10 ^th Rank in English.

There are around 3500 B.Ed seats in Guntur District out of which only 773 students have qualified in AP EDCET. It means 2700 seats will be vacant. This year the response to AP EDCET is very poor. The managements of B.Ed colleges are in a desperate situation as seats of the college will not be filled to full extent. Each college has a maximum intake of 100 seats. So, the college managements are gearing up to fill seats atleast under management quota.
