About 28 basic computer learning modules will now be made available at the National PG College (NPGC) students which will provide the students of the college to study the same syllabus as the students of IIT Bombay . These computer learning modules will be made available to the students via online mode.

From next week, students can visit the official website of the college to check for the link of the 'Spoken tutorials' developed by IIT Bombay. Students will need to register themselves before hand and will also have to sit for examinations at the end of the year. The registration process as well as the exams is made available online. Regarding the same, SP Singh, principal of National PG college said that the course will be certified by IIT Bombay.
About the course:
In order to avail better job opportunities, students can enroll themselves for the course while studying or after graduation. The course will be free of cost and help the students to brush their computer/ IT knowledge. Students from all streams can register for the same.

The entire course will be divided into a list of short courses. Some of the important features of the course are mentioned below:
- MS office
- The Perl programming language
- Inkscape
- C++
- PowerPoint presentation
Duration of the course : 3-6 months for every short term course
Fee for the course : NIL
Anandita Dixit, a BCom student at National PG college says that these courses will be of great help and the students look forward to it. Also, making the course available online is also a good thing as now the students would not have to go somewhere to avail computer coaching. She says that students who are currently her seniors are pursuing tally and computer basic course and the spoken tutorials will help us to pursue courses online.
