On the lines of the Super 30 Programme by Anand Kumar, a similar initiative had been launched 4 years ago in Bhubaneswar to help underprivileged NEET aspirants to crack the exam. Anand Kumar had recently visited Bhubaneswar and had lauded the efforts put in by Ajay Bahadur Singh who founded the Zindagi Foundation.
Through the Zindagi Foundation, Ajay Bahadur Singh aims who had struggled to gain an education, like Anand Kumar, and is now focused on offering children of vegetable sellers, marginal farmers and fishermen a chance at studying in one of the premier medical colleges in India.
Sources have stated that the programme has been designed for those underprivileged students, who due to lack of financial stability, are unable to pursue their passion. Anand Kumar had showered praises on the Zindagi Foundation founder, urging the need for more “Ajay Bahadur Singhs” to boost the “silent revolution”.
The Bhubaneswar-based organisation, like the Super 30 programme, is a non-government organisation, which offers free coaching programmes to medical aspirants who belong from economically weaker sections of the society. Along with offering them free coaching services, the programme also overlooks the food and lodging expenses of the aspirants.
The founder of Zindagi Foundation was motivated to start the organisation after he had come across a girl child who was selling garlands outside of Lord Jagannath Temple in Puri, in order to pay for educational expenses. During his childhood, Mr Singh had to sell tea and sherbet in order to help his family survive. This encouraged Mr Singh to provide a platform to such aspiring students who aspire to pursue an education in the field of medicine.
The Zindagi programme has also received many laurels from renowned individuals across different platforms. Actor Hritik Roshan, who had recently played the role of Anand Kumar in the “Super 30” biopic which had been based on the achievements of the famed mathematician. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had also lauded the efforts and achievement of the students who cracked NEET examinations last year in July.

Currently, 19 students have been enrolled in the programme to prepare and crack the examination. As of yet, 14 students cracked the NEET examinations in 2018 after preparing through the programme while 12 of the students took admission in the Government Medical College situated in Odisha.

During Kumar’s visit to the foundation, Ajay Bahadur Singh stated that Kumar had given him the “guru mantra” to progress his work in the field. He stated that Kumar’s advice gave him the needed motivation as well as encouraged the students to achieve their dreams.
