Super 30 Founder and Mathematician Anand Kumar has urged the citizens of the country to make India a leader in the field of knowledge. He also asked Indian-Americans to contribute to this cause as knowledge is essential for development.
Speaking at the India Day parade conducted on August 21 at Madison Square, New York, Kumar said that India can rise up to its old fame of being a world leader in the field of knowledge. He asked all Indians to come together and help the country in achieving this goal.
Kumar further added that India has had a history of great scientists, philosophers, engineers and educationists. He said that all citizens must contribute to make India a world leader in the education and knowledge sector once again.
The India Day parade was organised by Federation of Indian Association. Kumar addressed the gathering at the event and said that it was gratifying to see that so many members of the Indian community have risen to important positions in the US with their talent, passion and hard work.

Presence of Indians in different fields across the world will help the country in growing its knowledge base and getting a global perspective, he added.
Anand Kumar is the founder of innovative educational programme – Super 30 – that provides free of cost JEE Mains and JEE Advanced preparation assistance to students from poor backgrounds.

The programme is run under the banner of ‘Ramanujan School of Mathematics’. So far the programme has helped 396 students qualify the IIT entrance test.
