Tata Institute of Social Sciences: Important Dates of TISS-BAT 2017

Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) invites applications for its TISS Bachelor's Admission Test (TISS-BAT 2017) for admission to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) programme as well as five years Integrated BA-MA programme being offered in the field of Social Sciences for the next academic session starting from 2017. The courses will be offered on its campuses located in Hyderabad, Tuljapur, and Guwahati.

Eligibility Criteria for TISS-BAT 2017:

• Aspiring candidates must have cleared their 12 ^th examination
• Passing-out school board should be a recognised one
• Students having diploma from International Baccalaureate can apply
• Students completing their 12 ^th class by June 2017 can apply

S election P rocess at TISS:

Candidates applying for the programme will be selected on the basis of the entrance examination.

How to Apply for the Programme:

• All the candidates have to apply online on the official website of the institute. Candidates, belonging to General Category, and applying for the programme have to pay INR 1025 as the application fees.
• Candidates from SC and ST category have to pay INR 275 only.
• Payment can be made through cash or challan. Payment challan has to be downloaded from the website of the institute and shall be deposited at any branch of State Bank of India.

Exam Pattern of TISS-BAT 2017:

• The entrance examination will be of 90 minutes duration and of total 100 marks.
• Part one will be of 60 minutes duration, carrying 60 marks. Questions will be based on current affairs, logical and analytical reasoning, social awareness.
• Part two will be of 40 marks and 30 minutes duration. It will contain descriptive written test in English.
• Candidates will have to attempt both the parts in order to be further considered eligible.
