TCS Holds Placement Drive at Govt. College

Future seems bright for the students of Government College from Indore and Ratlam districts completing their graduation courses this academic year.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) — which is an IT service, consulting and business solutions company — for the very first time will be holding placement drive at Government Holkar Science College on 20th January’16 to hire graduate students from the Government colleges in Indore and Ratlam districts.

In a letter to 13 Government college principals in these two districts, Swami Vivekanand Career Guidance Scheme director Aditya Lunawat said: “The TCS will be holding pool placement drive at Government Holkar Science College on January 20 to hire staff for its offices in Gandhinagar and Vadodara.”

Maximum number of students should participate in the placement drive from the respective colleges, not less than 500. This is requested by Aditya Lunawat. It is for the students who are willing to work in the districts of Gandhinagar and Vadodara.

Lunawat directed the colleges to engage faculty in encouraging students to participate in the placement drive and to publish advertisements regarding the placement drive in newspapers.

The training and placement officers and planning in-chrages of the colleges have also been asked to provide assistance in the drive.

The letter states that placements would be carried out for “Data processing role” and Market research & advance analytics role. The salary for the two posts will be Rs 10,250 and Rs 18,000, respectively.

The letter also states that students who are completing their graduation degrees in 2016 are also eligible for the placements. However, the students who got supplementary or ATKT or took a break of two years during the graduation programme have been declared ineligible.

The students have been suggested to report to the Holkar College at 8.30 am for the placement drive along with necessary academic documents and resumes.
