Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)
conducts 'pool' campus placement drives to recruit fresh graduates. This year, they chose a total of 253 for the HR round of the selection process out almost 400 students from 29 colleges across Jorhat, Assam and its neighbouring districts who participated in the drive.
The programme was conducted by the placement cell of Kaziranga University and various officials from TCS and the university attended it.
The Kaziranga University (KU) hosted Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in an on-campus placement drive for final-year students of all colleges in and around Jorhat as part of its University Social Responsibility.
"We are happy to see so many participants. The KU has done a great job in giving us a platform to hold the placement drive. At the same time, it provided a career to students of the region, said Sreetama Dutta, an official of TCS.
Rimjhim Baruah, assistant director of KU's placement cell, said the university wanted to give final-year undergraduate students of the northeast a chance to experience a placement drive. "Our career counselling programmes, which are part of our University Social Responsibility, lay special emphasis on empowering students by imparting industry-ready skills," she said.
