The Government of Telangana and the State Council for Higher Education (Telangana) is going to implement 10% EWS quota for B.Tech admissions 2020. With the implementation of EWS quota, the number of seats in B.Tech course in Government and Private Engineering Colleges in Telangana will be increased. However, the officials are already concerned about the number of vacant seats in the colleges across Telangana over the years. With the new reservation policy, more seats are expected to vacant for the upcoming academic session.
According to the officials of TSCHE, only top private engineering colleges across Telangana are expected to witness 100% seat enrollment under EWS quota. However, for the other engineering colleges that are located in rural or remote areas may not have many benefits due to the fewer takers. However, the government had no option except to implement the EWS quota due to direction from the Central Government.
