Telangana Budget 2022-23 has been announced lately by the ruling government in which Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has made several welfare initiatives for the youth of the state. Hailing the budget to be in favor of Telangana's growth trajectory, the CM declared new initiatives with respect to employment opportunities in the government sector.
In the new budget, more than 90,000 government job vacancies have been announced across various departments. This will give a major relief and hope to the youth of the state, who have been eagerly awaiting the announcement of job notifications. With this, the government has leveled up the employment game and is going to release notifications shortly.

Additionally, CM Rao has said that the services of about 11,104 contractual employees will also be regularised from now on. As per the local media reports, the financial implication for this regularisation and filling up of nearly 80k vacancies through direct recruitment is Rs 7,300 crore per annum, to begin with.
In other key announcements regarding recruitments, the government has decided to provide relaxation in terms of recruitment criteria, instead of just providing more opportunities. A decision has been made to relax the upper age limit for competing for direct recruitment by 10 years, except for the police department. This would give more opportunities to people to utilize these vacant positions to the best.
In his announcement, CM Rao also explained that around 1,33,942 vacancies have been already filled up by the TRS government in the last few years and the remaining 22,312 posts are under the recruitment process.

As per reports, the state government is thinking of notifying direct recruitment opportunities in advance so that candidates know about these vacancies better and can utilize that time to plan ahead. So, an annual recruitment calendar can be expected in the near future.
