Telangana Govt Invites Application Form for Overseas Scholarship (Image Credits: Pexels)Overseas Scholarship to SC Students in Telangana: The Government of Telangana has asked for applications from the students of Scheduled Caste for overseas scholarships. SC students who aspire to pursue higher education from foreign universities must submit their applications before March 31, 2024. To become eligible for this scholarship, the family income must be no more than Rs 5 lakh annually. The students can check further details and application forms on the official website at telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in.
For this, the students who have earlier applied to a university situated in USA, Germany, Canada, France, Singapore, UK, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, and Australia, and have been accepted there. Only the students who have received their admission offer letters can apply for this scholarship

A maximum amount of Rs 20 lakhs will be granted to selected students from the SC category. If the amount mentioned in the student’s admission letter is less than 20 lakhs, the lesser amount will be given. In the scholarship, the Telangana SC student will also be entitled to a one-way economy air flight ticket to his/her respective university’s city. The visa charges of the student will also be covered in this Telangana government scholarship.
As per the eligibility requirements, only one child from a family can apply for this scholarship scheme. Any student belonging to the Scheduled Caste in Telangana and having secured 60% marks aggregate in graduation can apply for this scheme. Also, the student must have a GRE score of at least 280 or a GMAT score of 550 marks. English proficiency tests are also considered with TOEFL score of at least 60 or IELTS minimum 6 grade. Telangana government has asked the students to apply for scholarships for overseas education only after their admission form has been issued.
