Telangana School Holiday on 3 September 2024: The administration units of various districts in Telangana declared holidays in the schools of all classes for September 3, 2024 of Kamareddy, Khammam, and Nirmal, Nizamabad Districts due to excessive rainfall in the region. Initially, authorities announced to shut schools on September 2 due to heavy rainfall, however, it is expected that educational institutes will remain closed for the next couple of days. This decision follows a forecast of heavy rains and the issuance of yellow and red alerts in various districts of the state by the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The decision for the announcement of the school holiday is awaited from the District Collectors.

IMD has declared a yellow alert for various districts of Telangana- Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagital, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy.
