Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2016 results were declared on Sunday, June 12. The top 3 positions were secured by students of Kota-based Allen Career Institute.
The first rank (All India Rank) was secured by Aman Bansal with 320 marks. Bhavesh Dhingra came second with a score of 312 while Kunal Goyal got the third rank in JEE Advance with a score of 310 marks.
Aman and Kunal studied at the Jaipur center of Allen Career Institute whereas Bhavesh studied at the Chandigarh center. All the three students were aspiring to take admission to the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and the Indian School of Mines (ISM). They were preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination for admission to the bachelor’s, integrated master’s and dual degree programs.
Naveen Maheshwari, Director, Allen Career Institute said that out of the seven zone toppers, four belonged to his institute.
The topper of IIT-Mumbai zone is Aman Bansal, Bhavesh Dhingra led the list in IIT-Roorkee zone, Sharvik Mital was the topper of IIT-Kanpur zone and Ishan Tarunesh in IIT-Guwahati zone.
Satwat Jagwani, from Kota’s Bansal Classes was the topper of JEE Advanced in 2015.
Coaching centers from Kota have been consistently performing well. The coaching capital of India has shaped many toppers over the years and had also produced great result in the JEE Mains 2016 results, declared in April 2016.
JEE Advanced 2016 was conducted on May 22 across hundreds of centres throughout the country. Over 2,00,000 students who qualified JEE Mains appeared for the all India common engineering entrance examination.
IIT Guwahati organised the exam this year along with the Joint Admission Board 2016.
