After a cabinet meeting on 30-July-2016, the Telangana State Government has cancelled the EAMCET 2 examination. The examination was conducted for the admission into BDS/MBBS courses across various colleges of Telangana. The government cancelled the EAMCET 2 as the Crime Investigation Department (CID) confirmed the leak of EAMCET 2 question paper. DGP of Hyderabad, Mr. Anurag Kashyap submitted the CID report to the Chief Minister, Mr. Chandrashekara Rao . After verifying the reports of CID, the CM decided to conduct re-examination (EAMCET 3). The official announcement will be made today, 1-August-2016.

However, most of the parents and students did not support the decision of TS government. Parents demanded that the ranks of those who involved in the leakage of question paper must be punished. The re-examination is not reasonable for the candidates who did not involve in leakage.
According to CID reports, Shaik Raheem alias Ramesh is directly involved in the leakage of question paper. He contacted 14 students in TS and AP assuring them that he had original question papers. He collected around 15 to 20 lakhs from each student. He arranged accommodation for the students in a resort in Pune and leaked three sets of TS EAMCET 2 question paper. The students practiced the answers in Pune and returned to Hyderabad on 8-July-2016.
The CID officials arrested Shaik Raheem and seized his bank accounts. They have seized Rs.37.50 lakhs from Raheem. Some of the brokers who involved in leakage were also arrested by the officials. They confirmed that at least 100 students are involved in paper leakage.
The TS EAMCET 2 examination was conducted on 9-July-2016. Around 50,000 medicine aspirants took the examination. The official announcement regarding the cancellation of EAMCET 2 will be out today. According to sources, cancellation of EAMCET 2 is sure. The re-examination will be conducted in August and the admission process will be completed by September.
