Last year, around 1,02,000 applications were received for Agriculture and Medical streams. One of the higher officials revealed that exclusion of MBBS, BDS and AYUSH courses from TS-EAMCET 2017 might be the primary reason for fewer applications.

He further revealed that most of the students who complete Bi.Pc course in Intermediate do not show much interest in joining in Biotechnology course. Every year, more than half of the seats are remaining vacant in this course. There is a moderate response for Pharmacy courses.
