TSCHE to introduce two new-age courses such as B.Sc Data Science and B.Com Data Analytics in all degree colleges of the state. Council took this decision to enhance the employability skills of the students.
Telangana State Higher Education Council (TSCHE) will be introducing new-age courses such as B.Sc Data Science and B.Com Data Analytics in all degree colleges across Telangana state from the upcoming academic year 2020-21. The new-age courses have already been introduced in other states to enhance the employable skills of the students.
TSCHE decided to introduce the new age courses as they are highly in demand and to provide the students with better employment opportunities. Meanwhile. the discussion to introduce Honours courses in the state is also going on. The Honours courses will have 20-30 credits as compared to other regular UG courses.
The council is also planning to introduce other trending courses such as B.Sc Machine Learning, Blockchain Technology and Artificial Intelligence as these courses are a lot in demand and most of the job opportunities in the market are related to the same.

TSCHE informed that B.Sc Data Science and B.Com Data Analytics will be first introduced in autonomous colleges, government colleges and social welfare gurukuls of the state.

All the top private colleges in Telangana will be given permission to start both the courses and follow quality standards. Also, training facilities will also be proposed for these courses so that the students get the best exposure and students get an opportunity to enhance their job skills. Other states in the country should also take such initiatives so that students do not have to move out of the state to gain knowledge about new age courses.
