UCEED 2024 Seat reservation Policy (Image credit: Pexels)UCEED 2024 Seat Reservation Policy: IIT Bombay has released the UCEED 2024 seat reservation policy for the categories on the official website. As per the announcement, a total of 205 seats will be filled in 5 IITs, such as IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Guwahati, IIT Delhi, and IIT Jabalpur. Note, that the participating institutes have the right to make changes to the seat reservation.
In the database, the category of the candidates as entered will be assumed as final and will also be the same in the UCEED exam 2024. No further requests for the change of category will be entertained. Also, the remaining vacant seats under the reserved and general categories, will not be allotted to the candidates belonging to the other categories.

Note, that the candidates belonging to the creamy layer of OBC will not be entitled under the reservation policy. In addition, the OBC candidates will be treated as the GEN/ Unreserved Category. Those candidates will be eligible for the Open category seats. Only the authority will accept the OBC-NCL certificates issued from April 1, 2022 onwards.

The advantages of the reservation will be given to the candidates only when the document verification is done. If it is found that the candidate has used a false/ incorrect document at any stage, then the benefit of reservation will be excluded. Also, if the candidates complete the admission under such a situation, then the admission will be cancelled automatically. For instance, if the PwD candidates will submit a false certificate, then the reservation policy will be rolled back to the General category. Not only that but the candidature will also be cancelled.
