UCEED and CEED exam 2017 were held on January 22, 2017, from 10 am to 1 pm. Both the exams were conducted by IIT Bombay and the result will be announced on March 10, 2017.
The UCEED exam comprised of three sections having Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT). Whereas, CEED exam comprised of two sections containing objective and subjective type questions respectively. Following are the student reactions given by students for the respective exams.

UCEED Exam 2017 Student Reaction:
- Most of the students who appeared for the exam said that the level of the exam was tougher than that of NID DAT 2017.
- Students also reported that Section C of the exam was difficult and the questions were tricky.
- Section A i.e. NAT of the exam was relatively easy and students were able to answer the questions from this section.
- Students also reported that Section C was critical as it sums up to 120 marks and negative marking is applicable for this section. Whereas Section A holds 80 marks and Section B holds 100 marks.
- Some of the students also reported that the exam was lengthy and 3 hours was not enough time to solve the paper.
- It was also observed that the exam pattern was similar to UCEED 2016, however, students added that this year’s level of difficulty was higher than last year.
- Students also informed that the computer-based test was successfully conducted without any issues and all facilities were provided.
CEED Exam 2017 Student Reaction:
- According to candidates who have appeared for the exam, CEED 2017 was easier than the exam conducted in 2016.
- Students reported that there was no change in the exam pattern or the marking scheme of CEED 2017.
- There were lesser number of GK and mathematics questions in the exam, reported a student. Part A of the exam comprised mostly aptitude based questions whereas Part B comprised of drawing based questions.
- Some of the students reported that the Part B of the exam was a bit lengthy but added that the overall difficulty level of the exam was okay.
- Haven taken the computer-based test for the first time, some students faced a difficulty of getting used to the exam platform.

Some students also felt that the exam was easy for engineering graduates as some questions were asked from engineering mathematics syllabus.
