UGC asks State Boards to Create Awarness on CUET UG 2024 (Image Credits: Pexels)CUET UG 2024: In a recent official notice shared by the University Grants Commission, the UGC has requested the chairpersons of all state school boards to promote the Central University Entrance Test for Undergraduate Admissions (CUET UG) examination. The commission has asked the state boards to create awareness in the students to appear in more numbers for the examination.
CUET UG 2024 examination will be conducted in hybrid mode on multiple dates between May 15 to 31, 2024 across the country. UGC is organising this entrance examination in 13 regional languages for the convenience of the students.
UGC Urges State Boards to Create Awareness on CUET UG 2024
Since its the introduction of the examination in 2022, participation of students in CUET UG from southern states has been comparatively lower than the other states. UGC has paid attention to this situation seriously. CUET UG is a national-level entrance examination for all undergraduate courses in universities all over India. Hence it becomes important for all Class 12th students to appear for the examination.
The UGC is aiming to make the CUET exam a major entrance examination like JEE Mains for all other UG courses than engineering for a streamlined admission process. For this, Prof. Manish R. Joshi, UGC Secretary in his official letter to all state board chairpersons informed that the online registration process for CUET UG application process 2024 has been extended up to March 31, 2024. Moreover, the state boards are urged to encourage the students to register for CUET 2024 exam on the official website before the deadline.
