In a bid to create an effective communication channel between the students and the administrative bodies at colleges, the UGC has asked the universities to notify the students regarding the same.
UGC has asked the universities to put up notice boards in order to ensure that the students are aware of the establishment of grievance redressal mechanisms and the grievance portals that have been introduced to address academic and other student problems.
According to the directions given by the UGC, these grievance redressal cells established at universities will be managed by a nodal officer. This officer will be in charge of addressing all the issues and responding to the grievances posted by the students on the grievance portal.
The nodal officer will also be responsible for addressing all the grievances that have come forth through the colleges affiliated to the universities. The action taken to resolve these grievances will be updated by the officer on the grievance portal, informed the UGC.
