UGC Chairperson Mr. Jagadish Kumar stated that National Testing Agency is trying to secure 1000 examination centres for CUET UG 2023 examination. According to him on average, NTA needs 500 examination centres a day to conduct the examination successfully. He assured that CUET 2023 will be conducted without any technical issues. Mr. Kumar also said that they will make sure that the technical infrastructure is in working condition in order to avoid any problems.
CUET UG 2022 results were announced in the month of September which led delay in the commencement of the academic year. To curb this problem, Jagadish Kumar said that CUET 2023 schedules have been released. According to him, CUET UG 2023 results will be released in the month of June, the admission process will commence in the month of July and the academic year can be started in the first week of August 2023. UGC Chairperson informed the press that the NTA started selecting the examination centres and CUET 2023 question paper preparation.
The total number of candidates who appeared for CUET UG 2022, was around 9,68,000 candidates and 90+ Universities took part in the entrance examination. The conducting authorities of CUET are expecting that some more universities will register for participating in the entrance examination. The number of aspirants who are interested to appear for CUET 2023 is likely to increase. According to NEP 2020, CUET is mandatory for all Central Universities. Mr. Kumar states that conducting an entrance exam for every individual university strenuous task, so many more universities will take part in CUET in the long run.
CUET UG 2023 registration will commence very soon. Candidates who are going to appear for the entrance must know that the syllabus and difficulty level of the exam is as per the NCERT Class 12 Syllabus.
