UGC NET 2024 Exam Date: When will June cycle be conducted?

For the June session, the NTA has announced the UGC NET 2024 exam date to be held on June 18, 2024, which was initially scheduled for June 16, 2024. The exam will be conducted online and the results will be tentatively released sometime in July/August 2024.

The UGC NET 2024 exam date has been revised and is now scheduled to be held on June 18, 2024. The National Testing Agency (NTA) initially slated the exam for June 16, 2024, in its released exam calendar for the academic year 2024-25. NTA conducts the UGC NET examination twice, and the dates specified here are for Session 1 or the June cycle only. The examination will be held in a computer-based mode, and the result for the same will be announced within 3 weeks after the examination concludes online. Any update regarding the examination date will be shared at www.nta.ac.in in due course of time. Till then, applicants can start studying for the examination to be well-prepared before the test day.

  • UGC NET 2024 Session 1 examination will be conducted in two shifts. Shift 1 will be conducted from 9 AM to 12 PM, and Shift 2 will be held from 3 PM to 6 PM.

  • The examination will be held twice a year online.

  • The examination will be national-level.

  • Candidates will get 3 hours to complete the paper.

  • Candidates will have to appear for two papers. Paper 1 will be of 100 marks, and Paper 2 will be 200 marks.

  • In Paper 1, 50 multiple-choice questions will be asked, and in Paper 2, 100 multiple-choice questions will be asked.

  • All questions in the question paper will be of two marks. For every right answer, 2 marks will be assigned. There is no negative marking for wrong or unanswered questions.

  • The question paper will be made available in English and Hindi language.
