According to the new immigration rules of the United Kingdom (UK), international students in the UK will have more flexibility to switch over to work visas after the completion of education. The new immigration rules will come into effect from January 11, 2018. The new rules will allow the international students in the UK switch to Tier 2 visa, i.e., skilled worker visa after the completion of course.
International students in the UK will be allowed to apply for Tier 2 visa only after obtaining the degree. The new norms will help the international students in the UK to find a suitable job. According to the older norms, students must return to the native country after the completion of course. Due to this norm, students applying for UK visa decreased gradually. Many UK universities have urged the government to relax the visa rules. Usually, students who wish to study in the UK must apply for Tier 4 visa, which means that he/she has to return to his/her country after the completion of course. However, students will be given four months of time to find a job under Tier 4 visa. If the student fails to find a job, he has no other option except to return to the native country.
