The fear of failure in UP Board exam 2018 led the students to take up extreme measures in order to pass. During the evaluation, various evaluators have found bizarre requests in the answer sheets , asking the evaluators to consider the hardships of the students and pass them. Various cases have come to light where the UP Board students who appeared for class 10 and class 12 exams have left pleas in the answer sheets asking evaluators to grant them passing marks.
Students have given all kinds of excuses in the answer sheets telling the evaluator why they were not able to study for the exam. Few have also asked to be considered as the children of the evaluator and be granted passing marks. Experts suggested that the pleas of the students are proof that they couldn’t find any measure to cheat and therefore retorted to pleas in order to pass. Following are some of the pleas that were found in the UP Board exam 2018 answer sheets.

Strange Requests Found in UP Board Exam Answer Sheets:
- A girl wrote in the Hindi examination if the evaluator would have failed her if she was his daughter.
- Another student wrote that he/she saved money by stitching clothes and didn’t have any money to buy books. The student further added that borrowing books was the only means to study and implored the evaluator to pass him/her.
- Another student said that he was a good student till class 10 but his love life was the reason why he was not able to study. The student apologized for his note but didn’t ask for grace marks.
- A few students also wrote how they appreciated CM Yogi Adityanath’s decision to keep a stringent check on copying in the exams.
- A student also wrote a couplet to appeal for grace marks from the evaluator in order to pass.
- Another student made an emotional appeal and said that her father died when she was very young and she has to work in order to feed her younger siblings and the family. She begged the evaluator to pass her for the sake of her family.
- On the other hand, few students have tried to bribe the evaluators by stashing 10 to 100 rupee denominations in the answer sheets.

This year, the UP Board exams for high school and intermediate students were conducted under the surveillance of CCTV cameras along with other stringent means to prevent cheating. The evaluation of the answer sheets began from March 17, 2018 and will be completed in 15 days.
