UP Board Class 10 & 12 Board Examination 2022 began on March 24, 2022. It has been reported that over 4 Lakhs students skipped the examination on its first day. Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) conducted the Hindi exam for classes 10 & 12 on Thursday. Reports show that in the first session 2,61,120 students were absent and in the second session, 1,57,387 students were not present. Various predictions have been made for what could be the reason for such a dropout on the first day of the UP Board examination.

UP Board Class 10 & 12 first day massive dropout has been a shock to all the Board authorities across the state. It has been anticipated that the tight security measures taken by the UP government could be the reason for such immense dropouts. Around 2,97,124 CCTV cameras along with the Board exam staff were being used to scrutinize the examination.
Surprisingly, this is not the first time that so many students have skipped the exam. In the year 2018, 11 lakh students were reported to be leaving the examination hall after strict cheating preventive measures were taken by the State government.

According to the reports, a total of 8,873 examination centers have been set up all across the state. Among these, 6,398 centers are located in rural areas while 1,975 are situated in urban areas.
UP Board Class 10 & 12 examinations 2022 has been conducted in two shifts by UPMSP. The morning shift is scheduled between 8 am and 11:15 am. Likewise, evening shift timing is from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. UP Board Class 10 examination will conclude on April 12 with the Mathematics paper and Class 12 examinations will culminate with the vocational subjects and political science exams.
