Uttar Pradesh Board has announced the revised dates of Class 10 & 12 examinations. The dates have been revised ahead of elections in five states. As of now, Class 10 examinations will begin on March 16, 2017, and conclude on April 1, 2017. On the other hand, Class 12 examinations will commence on March 16, 2017, and conclude on April 21, 2017.

The Class 10 examinations will begin with Hindi (Preliminary) examination on March 16, 2017. The last will be that of Drawing in the morning shift and Sewing exam in the afternoon on April 1, 2017. Usually, the Class 10 examinations take place over a span of 15 days.
Similarly, Class 12 examinations will commence with Military Science in the morning session and Hindi general paper in the second shift on March 16, 2017. The examinations will come to an end with Urdu examination in the morning session and Library Sciences examination in the afternoon session on April 21, 2017. Usually, Class 12 examinations take place over a span of 25 days.

Earlier, UP Board announced the exam timetable on December 8, 2016. However, it held back the dates as Election Commission of India announced dates for polls in five states. Therefore, Election Commission directed the board to defer the dates of the examinations. Later, UP Board submitted the revised dates to Election Commission which received approval.
Around 60 lakh students of Class 10 & 12 will appear for the examinations. The board is in the process of making all the necessary arrangements for the examinations.
