What is "Auto-Freeze" in UPTAC 2022 counselling?

As per the information available in the Counselling Information brochure, after round 4 seat allotment the allotted seat will be auto freezed for the candidates who have selected the willingness as 'Float' in previous rounds. Your seat is auto freezed because you must have given your willingness as 'Float' in previous rounds.

Institutes which are situated within the territory of U.P. and are affiliated to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam University are UPTAC B.Tech participating institutes. The participating institutes offer admission in B.Tech course through the centralised counselling on the basis of UPTAC 2022. There are 13 government colleges and around 200 private, unaided colleges constituting the UPTAC participating institute list.

What does Freezing, Floating, and Withdrawal mean at UPTAC 2022?

Freezing: If a candidate is satisfied with the seat allotted to them can freeze their choice. Applicants who freeze their allotted seat have to pay the seat acceptance fee also in online mode.

Floating: in case a candidate is not satisfied with the seat allotted to him/her and wants to be considered for the next round.

Withdrawal: In case a candidate is not satisfied with the seat allotment or wants to withdraw their candidature.
