UpGrad, co-founded by Ronnie Screwvala, will offer a four-week training programme to entrepreneurs with the objective of exposing them to possible challenges in their entrepreneurial journey. The programme also focuses on the main steps required to set up a venture.
Around 1 lakh entrepreneurs will be benefitted through this programme in the first year. However, around one million of new entrepreneurs will be trained in the next 2-3 years. Ronnie Screwvala said that if India could generate one million first generation entrepreneurs in the next five years and each entrepreneur can create an average of 50 jobs, this could bring a drastic change in technology and automation.
