UPSC Extra Attempt 2023: The demand for extra attempts in the UPSC examination has taken hype once again among exam aspirants. Several Civil Services aspirants gathered together and raised their voices in Old Rajinder Nagar on Monday to demand extra attempts in UPSC and upper-age relaxations. The students are asking for extra attempts due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic over the past two years. Students claim that the past two years have been highly overwhelming so their studies have been impacted heavily.
Why UPSC 2023 Aspirants are Asking for Extra Attempt?
This demand for some extra attempts in UPSC Civil Services Exam 2023 has been starting since the year 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic struck the world. Now the UPSC 2023 aspirants are demanding that the commission must provide an extra number of attempts and some upper age limit relaxation on the previous eligibility policy. This demand has been once again surged on Monday when numerous civil services aspirants gathered in Old Rajinder Nagar which is considered to be the hub for UPSC preparation in the country. With this protest, Twitter was flooded with the trend #UPSCExtraAttempt2023 since then.
Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, the Member of Parliament from DMK also raised this issue in Lok Sabha previously and asked the union government to make revisions in the UPSC 2023 number of attempts and upper age limit. She requested the government to acknowledge and address the situation being faced by thousands of UPSC hopefuls in the country.
UPSC Civil Services Notification 2023
Despite the protests and demands for the extra attempt in the UPSC exam 2023, the Union Public Service Commission has not released any official statement addressing this demand. The commission is all set to release the UPSC Civil Services Notification 2023 along with the list of examination cities for the Prelims Exam.
