Notices have been issued to the CBSE and Nainital police by the Uttarakhand High Court regarding the National Eligibility Entrance Test papers that were leaked in the district a day prior to the exam conducted on July 23.

Issuing the notices on Thursday, Justice Sudhanshu Dhuliya of the upper court issued the notices on Thursday, August 18 and directed CBSE and Nainital Police to submit their response within two weeks. The next hearing was allotted on September 5.

The decision was based on a PIL filed by Anshul Sharma, a resident of Rajasthan who demanded cancellation of the test saying that the question papers were leaked on the evening prior to the day when the exam was organized.
