Uttarakhand: State Government Launches Super 30 to Train IIT-JEE Aspirants

Uttarakhand: State Government Launches Super 30 to Train IIT-JEE Aspirants

Inspired by Anand Kumar’s Super 30 in Bihar, the state government of Uttarakhand has launched its own version of Super 30 for the candidates who aspire to appear for the IIT-JEE entrance examination . The state government will pick deserving and hard working students from underprivileged sections of society and train them for the national level engineering entrance examination. Besides launching Super 30 for IIT-JEE aspirants, the state government has also launched a similar facility for civil services aspirants. Education Minister of the state, Mr. Dhan Singh Rawat made this statement at a function that took place at Himalayan University to award meritorious students.

On this occasion, the Education Minister also launched a scheme for postgraduates. According to the new scheme, a total number of 100 PG meritorious students will be selected for pursuing Ph.D. who will be provided financial assistance by the state government. The minister also assured that the state government would take measures to improve the standard of higher education.

With an objective to inculcate a nationalist feeling among the students and as an honour to the national flag, the state government has made singing of national anthem compulsory in all the colleges across the state.

Chief Minister of the state also attended the award function. Addressing the students, he indicated that after achieving success, every student must play a significant role in educating the economically backward students in the society. Currently, the literacy rate of the state is 89%, and the help from students can contribute to making it 100%, he added.
