After months of implementing the EWS or Economically Weaker Sections Reservation Quota in Govt. jobs, the Uttarakhand Government has finally introduced the 10% EWS reservation quota in the state-run Government Universities as well as Colleges.
Anand Bardhan, the Principal Secretary of Higher Education from the state of Uttarakhand had released an order, instructing the inclusion of the 10% EWS reservation quota at the Government-run higher educational institutions. The step comes as a reply to the directive that had been sent by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. Bardhan had sent the order to the registrars of all the Government-run Universities and colleges and ordered them to implement the changes.

All the government organisations have been directed to implement the order.
