Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu Suggests to Reorient the Educational Syllabus

On January 11, while addressing the students at the 21st convocation of Srimad Andavan Arts and Science College, Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu stated that the educational syllabus needs to be reoriented. He stressed on reorienting the syllabus to prepare students for industrial competition in the 21st century.

On January 11, while addressing the students at the 21st convocation of Srimad Andavan Arts and Science College , Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu stated that the educational syllabus needs to be reoriented. He stated that in order to prepare the students for meeting industrial requirements, it is necessary to reorient the syllabus as well as the teaching methodologies at the educational institutes. He further added that the institutes must lay emphasis on skill development and industrial integration so that students can get hands-on experience of working in an enterprise.

While addressing the students, Venkaiah Naidu pointed out that while the country aims to become an economy of USD 5 trillion in the upcoming future, the young entrepreneurs will play a major role in terms of achieving that goal. For this, the educational syllabus must be reoriented and need-based & tailored made programs must be introduced for specific groups in life and positive thinking skills & language and communication skills, apart from management skills and personality development.

Apart from this, Mr Vice President also emphasised on the need of sensitising the students in Indian schools and institutes in terms of a diverse culture of India. As stated by him, the students must not forget the roots from where they come, but they should also not become confined to it.

He stated that it is our utmost responsibility to protect our culture and humanitarian values which are at our legacy. He further added that the best way to preserve ou culture is to take it further to the future generation of India, who should be well aware and proud of their historical glorious culture.
