On Friday i.e. 16 th September’ 16, the Vinoba Bhave University popularly known as VBU celebrated its 25th anniversary . The silver jubilee of the university was celebrated with a two-days long cultural program. The event had a lot of activities to entertain the students, faculty and the following participating institutes or universities:
- Mysore University
- Vanasthali Vidyapeeth University
Draupadi Murmu, who is the Governor of Jharkhand and Chancellor of Universities in Jharkhand, graced the event and said that the University is functioning amazingly well despite the shortage of professors. She is the one who inaugurated the event and also mentioned that VBU is the only university in the state who is offering CBES which is the Choice Based Education System.

Murmu said that being a chancellor of Universities in Jharkhand it is her responsibility to regularly check the quality of education in institutes. While doing this regular activity she found out that VBU is managing to do explicitly well regardless of the lack of teachers. She acknowledged the same mentioning that the University follows a strong system of education and a has a satisfactory infrastructure. She also said that it is the only university in the eastern region which has achieved so many laurels only because of the dedicated system the university has.
