The inauguration of the IIM-A first batch of ePGP programme specially designed for working professionals took place on 29th August in the presence of the director of the institute, Mr. Ashish Nanda through a virtual inauguration ceremony at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad .
The institute entered into a collaboration with Hughes Education India Limited to provide technical support for the conduction of the programme which will primarily be delivered through online sessions at the newly set up Hughes e-learning Studio at the institute.
IIM-A's ePGP programme is a two-year online Post Graduate Diploma programme in which participants from any various parts of the country are selected through a set procedure. They are given the flexibility of completing the programme in a maximum of three years so that they can adhere to other professional commitments simultaneously.

ePGP programme of IIM Ahmedabad is exclusively designed for entrepreneurs and working professionals. The admission to ePGP is based on work experience, educational performance etc. of the candidate. Each participant is required to have a full-time work experience of at least three years in order to enrol for the ePGP.

Composition of the First ePGP Batch at IIM-A:
- A total of 53 participants from across 13 cities have been selected for the programme.
- The batch is male dominated with only two female participants.
- 79% of the candidates are B.E. or B.Tech graduates.
- Work experience background of the candidates is from sectors like IT, Healthcare, Oil and Gas, Financial Services etc.
The campus module for the ePGP 2017-18 batch is scheduled to begin on October 2, 2017.
The next batch (second) of ePGP will begin from May 2018. CAT / GMAT score will be mandatory to secure admission to this programme.
