Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) has revised the B.Tech admission process for the academic session 2020-21. VITEEE 2020 , an entrance exam conducted for B.Tech admission has been officially cancelled. The entrance exam has been cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Candidates who are aspiring or already applied for admission in VIT must note that the admission process will be based on Class 12 th marks or JEE Main January 2020 exam score. The online application form for VIT B.Tech admission is still active, and the candidates can complete the registration process for online admission. Candidates who have already register for VITEEE need not register again.

VIT Revised B.Tech Admission Process 2020
VIT University will now consider Class 12 th marks for admission in B.Tech. Marks scored by candidates in Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics or Biology may be considered to prepare the merit list. Since VIT has opted for merit-based admission, the institute may release a merit list based on the marks scored by the candidates in Class 12 th . The candidates must have a minimum of 60% of marks in Class 12 th to be eligible for the admission process.
Will VIT University Accept JEE Main January 2020 Score for B.Tech Admission 2020?
VIT will accept JEE Main January 2020 score/ percentile for B.Tech admission. Candidates will have to upload the Class 12 th or JEE Main marks/ score in the application form. The institute is expected to conduct separate counselling for candidates who have applied through JEE Main January 2020 and for candidates who applied through Class 12 th marks. The exact details with regard to the admission process will be updated on this page soon.
VIT may accept JEE Main 2020 score of September exam only if seats are vacant in B.Tech programme. Therefore, it is advisable to register for B.Tech admission in VIT with JEE Main January 2020 score.
