Leading Beauty & Nutrition chain of vocational education Institutes VLCC announced to impart training in skill initiative to ten thousands students across the country reveals the company. While addressing the 14th Annual Convocation at FICCI Auditorium in the Capital VLCC Founder Vandana Luthra announced the company’s skilling initiative with the Ministry of Minority Affairs to impart trainings under the Seekho Aur Kamao scheme. The pilot programme for the project has already begun wherein 1000 trainees are to be trained in 5 states, namely Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat. The training is expected to commence from August of this year. Inaugurating the function Dilip Chenoy, Managing Director & CEO of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), who awarded the certificates to 400 of the 7,000 students who passed out of the VLCC Institutes portals in the last 12 months, praised the role VLCC has been playing over the years while empowering unemployed youth and giving them jobs and making them an entrepreneur. Luthra also announced their role in the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), launched by the Modi Government, wherein VLCC has already started training more than 3000 students 58 locations in India. The trainings are underway since June 15. VLCC Institutes have since their inception in 2001, set over 75,000 youth on the path of success by empowering them with the requisite industry-oriented skills to find decent, well-paying jobs, or become gainfully self-employed. The company is also running PPP initiative and as a part of PPP initiatives in skill development, VLCC institutes have trained more than 10,000 students in 13 states of India including Gujarat, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Mizoram, Assam, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal. VLCC also works with independent agencies like Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, Punjab Heritage & Tourism Promotion Board and Kolkata Municipal Corporation whereby it undertakes training programmes. VLCC has also set up a dedicated 12,000 sqft campus in Greater Noida dedicated to train students from the North East. Present at the event was. I.
