How to Check VMOU Result 2023?

VMOU result is released only in the online mode and students have to check their scores by logging on to the official website. The VMOU result 2023 is released separately for each subject/ course. Go through the steps to check your VMOU 2023 results listed below.

Click on the results after scrolling to the "Examination" tab.
You will be taken to the VMOU result page after clicking the link to the result.
You can choose to click on the link for the course you want to take or the comprehensive results.
Select the course and enter your applicant number as mentioned in the image below.

To save and download your scorecard for later use, click on "Submit".

VMOU Marking Scheme

VMOU results 2023 are prepared on the basis of several factors. Apart from the semester exams, the university also conducts internal assessments from time to time. Check the VMOU marking scheme for VMOU result 2023 below.

Internal Assessment - For each course (paper), VMOU conducts an internal/ home assignment of 20 marks. The internal assignments must be turned in to the concerned regional centre or as directed by the institution on or before the deadline.

Semester End Exams - VMOU conducts end semester exams for each course in which students have to take a written test lasting three hours. Each paper's maximum grade is 80. A candidate must receive 36% in both the individual courses (papers) and the overall exam grade to pass. It is necessary to pass with 36% of the total points otherwise the student may retake the exam six months later in order to finish the remaining assignments within the course's allotted maximum time frame. Additionally, it should be noted that the M.Sc. Previous examination will not be divided.

The scores earned for both the term-end test and internal/ home assignments must be listed individually on the mark sheet. The following table is used to classify the chosen candidate:

First division: 60% and higher
Second Division: 48.1% and higher but under 60.1%
Pass: 36% or more but less than 48%

The marking system of VMOU is as follows:

1. Letter Grades:
- O (Outstanding)
- A+ (Excellent)
- A (Very Good)
- B+ (Good)
- B (Above Average)
- C (Average)
- P (Pass)
- F (Fail)

2. Grade Points:
Each letter grade is associated with a specific grade point. For example:
- O - 10 (Outstanding)
- A+ - 9 (Excellent)
- A - 8 (Very Good)
- B+ - 7 (Good)

- P- 4 (Pass)
- F - 0 (Fail)

3. Percentage Range for Each Grade:
The university establishes percentage ranges for each letter grade. These ranges may vary from one course to another. For example:

- A+ - 70% to 84.99% (Excellent)
- A - 60% to 69.99% (Very Good)
- B+ - 55% to 59.99% (Good)
- B - 50% to 54.99% (Above Average)
- C - 40% to 49.99% (Average)
- P - 35% to 39.99% (Pass)
- F - Below 35% (Fail)

VMOU Revaluation Result 2023

Students who are not satisfied with their VMOU results have the option to get their results re-evaluated. After the VMOU 2023 results are announced, students who are dissatisfied with their grades can request revaluations, re-totalling of the answer scripts, and re-checking. A notice of VMOU revaluation result 2023 is posted on the website soon after the result is out. One month after the application is approved, the revaluation results are posted on the official website.
