WB Primary TET 2024 Announcement: The West Bengal Board of Primary Education will not conduct the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) this year. For the same, Goutam Pal, the WBBPE President declared that the successful candidates of past years are still waiting to appear for the interview round. Once the backlog is cleared, the WB Primary TET exam will take place. Hence, the utmost priority of the authority is to release the final results of the past two years.
As per the statistical report, in 2022, a total of 1.5 lakh candidates were qualified out of 7 lakh candidates. On the other hand, the WB TET 2023 result is yet to be released and the process is stuck due to the court proceeding for wrong questions. The legal complications arose after receiving repetitive complaints regarding the wrong questions in past TET exams. The court process regarding the same will be continued probably for a few more days or months. In this, the final interview process is being held for the qualified candidates of the last two years. On the contrary, few candidates from past years’ have appealed to the Supreme Court against the Calcutta HC’s, however, the SC dismissed the case. Once the final recruitment of WB TET 2022 and 2023 is done, the WB TET 2024 will take place. The authority also added that the WB Primary TET for the 2024 session might take place six to eight months later that is by the middle of 2025.
