Finally, the results of WBJEE 2017 examination were out on June 5, 2017. Even though the board released the results at 2:00 PM, the candidates were able to check the results only at 4:00 PM. The examination took place for the admission to pharmacy and engineering courses. Around one lakh candidates qualified in the WBJEE 2017 examination out of which 47% were CBSE students.
The topper of WBJEE 2017 examination is Debaditya Pramanik. He appeared for the examination in engineering stream. Debaditya completed his schooling from Birla High School, Kolkata. Among the top 10 rankers in the merit list, there are six CBSE students. Two students from South Point Higher bagged two spots in the top 10 rankers list. Only one girl managed to secure a spot in top 10 list.

The counselling session of WBJEE 2017 for the admission to engineering nd pharmacy courses will begin from June 12, 2017. All the candidates who scored above zero in WBJEE 2017 exam are eligible to participate in the counselling process.

A total number of 1,00,433 candidates from engineering stream and, 1,00,175 students from pharmacy stream are eligible to take part in the counselling process.
Currently, there are 104 technical or engineering institutes in West Bengal that offer 35,018 seats in engineering stream. On the other hand, 1,085 pharmacy institutes in West Bengal offer 1,229 seats.
This year, the WBJEE 2017 results were out 43 days after the examination.
WBJEE 2018 will take place on April 22, 2018.
