JEE Main results are released by the National Testing Agency in the form of percentile scores. Those percentile scores are based on normalized marks rather than actual scores. Due to the fact that the exam is held on several shifts and days, it is necessary to normalize the level of difficulty of the JEE Main question paper. For calculating the result, raw marks obtained by candidates in JEE Main are converted into percentile scores. Scroll down below to learn what is the percentile for 300 marks in JEE Mains 2022.
Why JEE Main Result 2022 is Announced in Percentile?
There are two sessions of the JEE Main 2022 exam over a period of 5-6 days with two shifts every day. It is possible for a particular day's question paper to be harder or easier than others. It is necessary to normalize these possible parities in difficulty level. NTA uses a formula to calculate normalized marks rather than the actual marks obtained by candidates. NTA's normalisation formula and previous year's trends are used to calculate the range of JEE Mains marks vs percentile.
