Eligibility Criteria for General Category in JoSAA Counselling 2024: Candidates who are planning to participate in the JoSAA 2024 counselling process, the candidates should refer to the eligibility criteria. Note, that the JoSAA counselling eligibility criteria for the categories are different. The JoSAA counselling registration process has started today on the official website. Candidates should meet the JoSAA counselling eligibility criteria to appear for the registration process.

Eligibility Criteria for General Category in JoSAA Counselling 2024
Check out the eligibility criteria for the General category in the JoSAA counselling process here in the following section:
- For GEN Category: The OCI/PIO candidates should secure an OCI/PIO card before March 4, 2021, or the Indian nationals of the General category who are not belonging from the GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC or ST category (or do not have GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC or ST category certificate) and not PwD
- For GEN-PwD Category: The candidates should have an OCI/PIO card before March 4, 2021. Or the Ination Nationals who do not belong to the GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC or ST category (or who will not produce the GEN-EWS, OBC-NCL, SC or ST category certificates) and the PwD. Note, that the PwD candidates should produce a valid PwD certificate or valid UDID card
- For GEN-EWS Category: The candidates assigned to the Indian Nationals of the general category who belong to the EWS and are not Persons with Disabilities and are not persons who belong to the OBC-NCL/SC/ST category. Candidates should also produce a valid GEN-EWS certificate
- For GEN-EWS Category: The Indian nationals of the General category who belong to the EWS and are Persons with benchmark disabilities and the persons who do not belong to the OBC-NCL/SC/ST category fall under this criteria.
