Amaravati:
The Department of School Education has scheduled to conduct AP TET 2024 exam from February 27 onwards. At the time of online registration, the department allowed B.Ed graduates to apply for Paper 1 (SGT posts). This rule is against the Supreme Court's order as the court indicated that only Diploma in Elementary candidates are eligible for primary teaching posts (SGT). AP TET and DSC notification has been challenged in the High Court and the petitioner highlighted the Supreme Court's order. After hearing the arguments, the High Court imposed a stay on the eligibility of B.Ed graduates for the Paper 1 TET exam.
As per the latest decision of the High Court, B.Ed graduates who applied for the AP TET 2024 paper 1 exam are not eligible to appear for the exam. B.Ed graduates can only appear for Paper 2. While the hall tickets for AP TET 2024 are scheduled to be released on February 23, many aspirants are now uncertain about the exam dates.

Will the AP TET 2024 Exam Date be Revised?
As of now, the chances of revising the exam date of AP TET 2024 look 50% possible. The preparation of hall tickets and exam centre allocation for all the applicants has already been started. As B.Ed graduates could not appear for Paper 1 of AP TET, the Department of School Education must reallocate the exam dates and centres which is a timetaking process. As of now, the exam has not been postponed, and the candidates need to wait until February 23. If the hall ticket is not released on February 23 , there is a chance that the exam will be postponed. On the other hand, an official update on the exam authority is expected anytime soon. The candidates are advised to continue with their exam preparation as the chances of postponement of the exam seem limited. While the AP government plans to conclude the AP TET and AP DSC exam 2024, the postponement chances are unlikely.
