Will MHT CET 2021 be Cancelled?

State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell) Maharashtra has released the official notification for MHT CET 2021 . Students have been waiting for the official update on the entrance exam date, which will be confirmed soon. With Maharashtra HSC (Class 12) exams 2021 have been cancelled, there are speculations that MHT CET 2021 will also be cancelled and admissions are to be based on Class 12 ^th marks. The registration for the entrance exam closed.

HSC (Class 12) exams 2021 play an important role in deciding the merit of students. Even though there is no weightage for HSC marks in MHT CET, board exams give confidence to candidates so that they can boost up their preparation for the entrance exam. As the 12 ^th exams of Maharashtra have been cancelled, students are advised to utilize the time to prepare for the entrance exam. The revised syllabus of MHT CET 2021 has already been released.

Is there any chance for the Cancellation of MHT CET 2021?

As of now, there is no chance for the cancellation of MHT CET 2021. The state government may go ahead with the entrance exam, as it is important to determine the merit of students for admission in engineering / agriculture / pharmacy courses. With the cancellation of HSC exams 2021, it will be very difficult to prepare the merit list solely on the basis of Class 12 ^th marks. Therefore, MHT CET 2021 will be conducted. Alternative Admission Process if MHT CET 2021 Cancelled

If the Maharashtra state government decides to cancel MHT CET 2021, the admission process will be conducted on the basis of Class 12 ^th marks. However, this may not be possible, as the board exams have already been cancelled.

When will MHT CET 2021 be Conducted?

With the number of Covid-19 cases going down in Maharashtra, the state government may conduct MHT CET 2021 in September. The HSC results 2021 of Maharashtra have already been reelased. Students will be given enough time to prepare for the entrance exam.
