Kerala School Holiday on August 2: Due to the extreme weather conditions in Kerala since July 29, various districts have been under red and orange alert. To maintain the safety of the students, the schools and pre-universities have been declared to as closed. Wayanad, Kasaragod, and Kannur have experienced the worst weather conditions with heavy rainfalls, landslides, and water logging. Schools in these areas shall be predicted to be closed to ensure the safety of the students. However, there has been no confirmation regarding the Kerala School Holiday on August 2 yet in any of the districts. However on August 1, 10 districts were declared as closed, and the same shall be expected in case the weather conditions do not change.

- Whereas other districts Malapurram, Thrissur, Palakkad, Ernakulam, Idukki, Kottayam, Allapuzha, Pathanamthitta, Kollam, and Thiruvananthapuram to experience moderate rainfall with strong winds.
- Districts declared holiday for August 1 are expected to continue for August 2 as well, yet confirmation is awaited.
