On Friday, IT firm Wipro confirmed to have partnered with the IT firm Nasscom in order to introduce a skill development platform for advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence , cloud, etc. The platform is aimed to bridge the gap between academics and industry by reaching out to over 10,000 students in over 20 different engineering colleges.
The initiative of Wipro is a component of the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) program, TalentNext which is a program aimed to enhance the students’ technological studies by training teachers and faculties.

As per the statement by Wipro, the platform Future Skills is aimed to bridge a gap between the academics and industry knowledge which will help the students acquire the knowledge in terms of new cutting edge technologies such as cloud computing, AI, Internet of Things, Cyber Security , etc. and get prepared for their future.
President of Nasscom, Debjani Ghosh stated that the aim of this partnership is to help them generate a skilled pool of students and employ a target of 90 million students as skilled professionals by the year 2030. She further stated that the Future Skill platform will not only help students enhance their skills in new-age technology but also to acquire aptitude in learning.

In context to this, Wipro chairman, Rishad Premji said that the platform will bring content and learning altogether while creating a platform for personalized learning. He also said that is it good to see that we are going downstream into working with students, enhancing their skills, and generating advanced professionals for industries.
