Women are giving tough competition to men in all the fields nowadays. Now, Nandini KR topped UPSC Civil Services Examination 2016. It is the third consecutive time than women have achieved the top ranks in India’s toughest examination. Tina Dabi and Ira Singhal were the toppers of Civil Services Examination in 2015 and 2014 respectively. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister expressed that it is an enthusiastic sigh towards the emergence of women power.
On this occasion, Nandini KR expressed her happiness and indicated that hard work is the significant factor that enabled her to achieve success. Cracking civil services examination has been her dream since childhood. Now, she has realised her dream and wants to serve the nation.

Anmol Sher Singh was the second topper of civil services examination. He credited the success to his family and thanked them for their motivation and support. Even though he worked hard, he never expected that he would secure all-India second rank. His aim is to join Indian Foreign Services (IFS).
Ever year, a high number of candidates appear for civil services examination from Jammu & Kashmir. However, 14 students from J&K have cracked the civil services examination for the first time. Last year, Aamir Khan from Jammu & Kashmir secured the second rank in the UPSC examination.

Commenting the active participation of J&K students in civil services examination, Mr. Jitendra Singh mentioned that youth of J&K is keen to be a part of mainstream development journey that is lead by Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi.
A total number of 1,099 candidates qualified in the civil services examination 2016.
